Why did you choose SideCI?

One of the most difficult tasks for us after writing code was reviewing code. The biggest issue was trying to maintain a consistent code style. Developers were often mixing code styles even though they had read and accepted the style guide. For the solution, we decided to use automated code review - SideCI.

By adopting SideCI and enforcing a certain style for our code automatically, we trained everyone in the same code style and could now spend more time coding and doing manual reviews for the code that matters, not small mistakes.

My biggest shock was when the automated code review caught a kill function that I left in accidentally as a temporary testing measure. I would have brought the whole site down if the automatic code review wouldn’t have caught it.

Regarding time spent on code review, we save no less than one hour per developer per day. As a side bonus, we managed to train our developers in better coding practices automatically and we’re less stressed because of it.
