There are no comments coming into the Pull Request

There will only be comments if there are new notifications found in the GitHub Pull Request. Moreover, it will only be applicable in the newly added line.
If there are no comments, then kindly confirm if there are new notifications.
In addition, you can confirm the number of new notifications on the SideCI screen.

Cannot find your GitHub repository?

There may be cases where your GitHub organization becomes unable to be accessed from SideCI, causing the registration of your repositories to fail.

This problem may be solved by manually granting SideCI access permission to your Organization on GitHub as follows:

  1. From your account settings on GitHub, go to "Settings → Authorized applications", and select SideCI
  2. Find the organization from your organizations listed under Organization access
  3. Click Grant access

Please note that it may take up to one hour for the changes to be applied, due to the GitHub API requests from SideCI being cached.

How to fix "We cannot analyze some of your private repository" issue

On SideCI, a "comment user" is set for each repository. When a GitHub account which is a "comment user" of a private repository logs in with "public repos only" mode, SideCI cannot continue analyzing the corresponding private repositories.
To resume the analysis, log in again with "allow private repos access" mode.

Background

"comment users" are used:

  • As the account to post comments in a Pull Request for issues found in analysis (in Classic mode),
  • For authentication to clone your source code from the repository
  • For authentication to change commit status of pull requests

When a "comment user" account logs in with "public repos only" mode, the authentication token in our database is updated and the authorization information associated with the account will be lost, thus making it unable to access private repositories. If there are any repositories which have the logged in account as its comment user, SideCI shows a warning message, as the analysis of the corresponding repositories will stop.

You can fix this issue by:

  • Logging into SideCI with "private repos access" mode so that authentication information is reset, or
  • Setting a different account to be the comment user of the repository

Please note that you have to use an account with "allow private repos access" mode to change the comment user account since users with "public repos only" mode cannot access private repositories on SideCI.
